- Both Dr. Moe and Dr. Hogan come from Georgetown University Hospital Division of Dermatology. We are committed to providing the same quality of care one finds at a major academic medical center.
- We have on-sight dermatopathology, so any biopsy taken will be evaluated and available for review with any of our practitioners, allowing maximum correlation between the findings in the patient and the findings under the microscope
- Good care also takes up to date technology and we are committed to having the state of the art equipment needed to address your dermatologic and cosmetic needs.
- If FDA does not have the equipment or expertise to handle your problem, we will make every effort to refer you to a provider that can meet your needs.
- Part of our technological commitment has led us to have an electronic medical record (EMR) from the day we open. Our EMR and practice management software is designed to minimize errors, make for complete and legible medical records of your condition and treatment, and allow prompt attention to phone messages, refills, and appointments.
- The EMR also facilitates communication between doctor and patient, between your dermatologist at FDA and your other care providers, and improves patient education.
What about a medical practice leads to patient satisfaction? While we can never promise that everyone will be satisfied all the time, there are certain elements that we strive for as your dermatologists:
- We have made our office into a relaxed and comfortable environment in which to receive dermatological care
- We appreciate that while we practice the science of medicine, that the art of medicine, which encompasses the “bedside manner,” is equally important and that this kind of caring attitude needs to extend to all the staff you encounter at FDA. To this end, we approach are patients knowing that we must care for our patients in a holistic manner, not just focus solely on the person’s disease.
- We know that your time is important too, and we are committed to trying to keep to a minimum the amount of time you spend waiting in our reception area or exam room
- Because part of dermatological care is focused on appearance, we offer the services of an on-site aesthetician. We also offer a line of skin products for regular usage in treating some skin conditions as well as minimizing the effects of aging on the skin
