Dr. Kathleen Moe
is a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She completed her B.S. with a specialization in health and humanities at Michigan State University where she graduated second in her class of over 4000 students. She moved to the Washington area to attend Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree in 2003 and ranked in the top 10% of her class, scoring in the 98-99 percentile in her board exams.
Upon completion of medical school, she began training in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Weill Medical Center. After much deliberation, Dr. Moe decided to change her area of specialization to dermatology. During the transition, she completed another year of training in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and also served as lead physician in Maryland at one of the area’s leading medical spas. In this role she gained extensive experience in laser hair removal, photorejuvenation, facial resurfacing, dermal fillers, and Botox™ injections. Dr. Moe completed her residency at the Georgetown University Hospital – Washington Hospital Center combined program in June of 2009 and joined Frederick Dermatology Associates at that time as a founding partner of the practice and is now a Board Certified Dermatologist.
