Catherine Lauritzen
MS, CRNP, is a native of northern New Jersey and is the newest provider to join the Frederick Dermatology team. She received her MS in nursing and her post-master’s certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Prior to her NP training,Catherine worked as a registered nurse at the University of Maryland Medical Center, treating a wide variety of medical and surgical patients in both the children’s hospital (pediatric ICU, acute care pediatrics and neonatal intensive care) and the adult cardiac surgical ICU.  Catherine is excited to bring her broad experience with both adult and pediatric patients, along with her surgical skills, to the field of dermatology. In addition to her degree in nursing, Catherine holds both a B.A. in journalism and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her board certification is through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and she is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association. She and her husband are soon-to-be residents of Sykesville, MD.
